Christmas is so close and it’s really obvious. You can smell the pine trees in the air and lights hanging on houses, the decorations in the store, and presents under the tree. My favorite part of christmas is sitting on the couch and turning the t.v. on and flipping the station to abc family to watch the 25 days of christmas. I enjoy watching the movies like The Polar Express, The Christmas Carol, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, but my favorite movies ever is the Home Alone movies. Home Alone is super funny, has really good acting, and has really clear audio and camera shots.
One really big reason I love Home Alone is that it’s super funny. Home Alone is basically about a boy who is always accidentally forgotten either at the air port at home or anywhere then a group or two burgarlars try to brake in and capture the boy and the boy always takes matters in to his own hands and sets a lot of traps to capture the men. Some of the traps involve iron, holes, paint, electric chairs, sprinklers, tool boxes and necklaces beads. One of the Home Alone movies had a electric chair and when the person sits on it it zaps the person with electricity and man does it hurt.
All the Home Alones have very good actors in them their facial expressions are so realistic. For example when the guy gets hit with tools that fall on his head you can immediately tell that it hurts just by looking at the face. Whenever the people get hit with tools, paint, iron, pots and anything else they always make face with a hint of pain and irritation.
The audio and camera shots were a key eye or ear catcher. When the paint shelf fell on the man the sound of the paint and shelf falling on the man was loud so you can tell that it was painful. Usually when there is music they that nice b roll to fill in the spaces. The shots that the take is close up, extreme close up, medium and wide. The camera men have very creative ways of seeing things and ways to frame the scenes.
To me Home Alone is a funny movie to watch during christmas and it’s never boring to watch over and over again. Merry Christmas
