This was scary because the obvious was breaking my arm, but it wasn't something clumsy or anything like tripping on flat ground, but it was because I decided to go snow boarding in Mt. Hood for the very first time. I went with my brother and dad but I decided to go because I was like Yolo and when am I ever going to get a chance to snow board, so I went, and my brother and I were racing and all that, but I was doing perfectly fine until the very last slope came and I slowed down and stopped right before going down it. The slope was kind of steep for me. So I waited for the instructor to catch up and he said to follow him so I followed him, and I for got how to slow down so I was going full speed ahead and I fell backwards right on my right arm. Once it happened immediately i was tempted to look at how bad it was but then my brother came and he told me not to look at it.
Another reason it was scary was because I was told later that I had a screw in my arm and I was wondering how they got it in there without me knowing and it's hardware in my arm so I was freaking out that it might rust or something like that.
Also I thought I would be able to go back to gymnastics. ( I did gymnastics ever since I was 4 years old) So when I was told that I can never do gymnastics I was super shocked and scared that I wouldn't have any thing to do anymore because I dropped soccer to do gymnastics.
On top of that I thought I would make it back in time for the summer camp for media but I had surgery and all that fun stuff on the week of summer camp so this snow boarding incident made me definitely ask myself "was it worth it" Yolo is not something to live by trust me.
